MEET TAZ

Taz is a very fun-loving 18 month old Staffie dog. We’re not altogether sure how he is with other dogs although he did live with one and he does get on well with Roxy. He is fine with children.

Insight: At the moment Roxy is sharing the same pen as Taz and they get on fabulously. Both are very cheeky and love to play. Roxy bops Taz on the head if he isn’t playing when she wants to and they both wrestle most of the day. Between us we are trying to teach Roxy to play tug as she doesn’t understand the game. We have got so far that she now runs around us barking then she will dive in, grab the tugger, hit Taz on the nose and take off running. Of course Taz will chase her then a game of tag ensues. They have become very close and sleep in the same bed. Taz lies next to her and rests his head over her shoulders
UPDATE MAY 2011: Unfortunately we have had to separate Taz and Roxy as they were both over enthusiastic in their games and kept getting scratches and nips. Taz loves to play tug of war and now that he has no Roxy I’ve had to take over, his manners are getting much better when he plays and he is getting better at not jumping up. He loves a fuss and if he isn’t playing will happily sit down next to me and watch the world go by with the odd nudge if I’ve stopped cuddling. Besides his rope or tugger his favourite thing is the treat ball, Taz will spend ages kicking it around trying to get all the treats out, after that he will just sit on his bed and stare at it as if magically it will refill.
