MEET COCO
Male Staffie cross, picked up as stray, lovely gentle boy with lots of love to give, can a bit warey with new people. Cinder came in from the pound; he
was a little unsure to begin with but has now settled. Cinder needs to get to know someone before his true nature shows; when
we bring him out to meet people very often he won’t look at them or have a fuss, we think he has been abused at some
point so he won’t connect to anyone unless he trusts them. Cinder also flinched when I touched his neck for the first
few days which suggests he has been knocked around a bit. Once he has got to know someone he is the most loving, gentle, sweet
natured soul around and a friend for life (very cheeky some times as well!!). Cinder loves a fuss especially a tickle behind
his ears, he now even tries to sit on my lap which he wasn’t doing to begin with and has started to play and relax more
in general. He doesn’t seem to know what to do with his toys, he likes to carry them a round and chew on them but never
plays. The only game I have managed to get Cinder to play is chase, he loves it when I get down low, pat his back, call him
and run off, he eyes go really wide and he does his Staffie grin then always gives chase until I turn around and look at him
then it is my turn to chase him. More often than not this game ends up with me more tired out than Cinder is but as long as
he is happy!! He constantly comes up to me for kisses and cuddles after a game, always without fail!! We know Cinder will
make the most loyal, amazing friend for someone but they have to understand it takes time for him to trust someone and please,
please don’t be put off if he comes out and won’t say hello to you (I think this is why nobody has taken him yet).
He just hasn’t yet realised there are kind people in the world!!
