Car Boot Sale  (Alveley) Sunday, 28th March 2010

It was our first Car Boot sale at the new venue.  We have now moved to a much larger field just opposite the pub we held the sales at last year.  The weather was in our favour although it was quite windy so we had to make sure that everything was well tied down.  We really had a good turnout and managed to raise a very welcome £147.39.  The catering van was doing a trade supplying hot drinks to warm us up.

Car Boot Sale  (Cookley Arms, Kidderminster) Sunday, 21st March 2010

It was a very good start to the season with our first Car Boot.  The day before was a little wet to say the least but we kept our fingers crossed, and the forecast was good for Sunday.  We had a good turnout for stalls and an abundance of buyers coming out into the sun.  It was also nice to see a couple of our ex-rescue dogs, Jack the Staffie who has been in his new home now for a few years, and Penny the Collie who has only been in her new home for a matter of weeks.  They both looked absolutely fabulous and enjoying the days' outing.  It was a most enjoyable day which saw us raise a much needed £138.84 and a suntan.

Dog Show, Stourport-on-Severn, May 2010
This was our first dog show together with Happy Staffie Rescue.  It was a fun day all round with three rings running simultaneously; pedigree, crossbreed and staffie ring.  Many other needy charities took part by having a stall raising money for their individual cause.  Altogether, we had almost 150 dogs taking part.

In loving memory of a dear lady who supported both these charities and loved dogs, who died in September 2009, we awarded the "Elise Harris Memorial Trophy" for best rescue.  This year it was won by one of our old rescue staffies, Benson.

Bewdley Carnival, Saturday 12th June 2010:

This was the first time we had tried out our new game, Pirate Treasure Trove.  As you can see from the pictures Wendy has invested a lot of time in the design and build. It went down an absolute storm and we had queues up to 10 deep waiting to play at one point. We all worked hard and managed to raise £100.

Kidderminster Carnival, Saturday 19th June 2010

Another great weekend for weather and we found the Kidderminster people very generous with their donations.  We had plenty of enquiries for dog too; lets just hope they turn into rehomes. £128 raised.

Stourport Steam Rally - 10-11th July 2010

Stourport Steam Rally was the first time we had used our new, larger marque.  This allowed us to split the marque into a shop section and a pirate tombola section, as you can see on the photos.  The weather was kind to us and we had a steady flow of customers/donators.  We raised a massive £445.18! A massive thank you to all who visited us.

We decided to invest in this lovely marque as it allows us to set up a shop to increase funds for our charity.

Rally in the Valley, Bridgnorth - 17th July 2010
Fortunately the weather held off but it was touch and go for a second. This event gave us another chance to use our new, larger marque.  It allowed us more room to sell more products.  We raised £270.73.

Welland Steam Rally, 23rd July 2010
Another great day.  In fact, this has been the best fundraising day this year.  We managed to raise a staggering £773.35.

Also, at a simultaneous event at Trimpley we raised £138.29

Blue Cross Summer Fete, 4th September 2010
One of the hottest days of the summer saw a large turnout in Bromsgrove. Hundreds of dogs joined their owners at this event to see all sorts of entertainment including a dog show.  Our tombola raised £200 and a further £197 at the Rock Dog Show.

West Midlands Vegan Festival - 30th October 2010
This was our first attandance to this event, and what an event it was!
From the second the doors opened hundreds of people flooded into the Civic Hall.  We were amongst around 80 other stalls ranging from other rescues to food to clothes.  It truelly was a great event and we managed to raise £230 from our tombola.

We'll definately be back next year and we'll be bigger and better!

WORCESTER VICTORIAN FAYRE 2010 - 2nd-5th December:
This was our second time attending this annual, Christmas event.
This time is was particularly chilly with temperatures hovering around minus 10.  Plenty of layers were worn but we were helped to keep warm by the amount of custom we had.

On our stall we sold Christmas gifts for peoples' pets including dog crackers and dog and cat hampers.  We sold out last time so we ensured we made more this year.  Alas, due to the huge popularity we sold out again.  A truly great acheivement!

Massive thanks to Terry, Wendy, Lynne, Jutta (Baker), Gaynor, Jean, Phillis, Charlotte, Becky and everybody else who not only braved the temperatures but spent hours making all the gifts.  We managed to make and raise £1000 for the dogs.  Well done you guys.

BAG PACK - THE RANGE, KIDDERMINSTER, 4TH-5TH December:
In partnership with Happy Staffie Rescue, we did a bag pack event at The Range in Kidderminster.

We packed what seemed like thousands of bags for The Range's customers in exchange for donations.  The people of Kidderminster were in fine form and they donated over £1100 to be shared between the two charities.
