How to Help

Donations

We at Birch Hill take recycling seriously, so that is why we need you to recycle your unwanted blankets, quilts and towels by donating them to us. As you can imagine, the blankets in the dogs beds can get quite dirty when they are going in and out of the garden area and so they have to be changed on a daily basis. The blankets are constantly being washed and dryed and even when they are starting to look a little threadbare, they are then used for the "shredders". "Shredders" being the dogs that think destroying their bedding is a fun game to play.
If you live local and have bedding or towels to donate, please give us a call.

I'm sure there comes a time when you look in your dog's toy box and think there are far too many and you must clear some out. Please don't throw them away, why not think of the dogs that are less fortunate than your own and donate them to us.
Whether the squeak has gone or not, if your dog has toys he/she doesn't play with anymore, please think of us and donate.

Whenever we can, we try to have a stall at a car boot sale and throughout the summer months we have been organising our own. We constantly need items we can sell -

                                     Videos/DVD's
                                     Toys
                                     Gifts

If you live local and have any of these items not wanted anymore, then please give us a call and donate.

We are always in need of food so any donations are much appreciated. Why not buy an extra tin each week or packet of treats etc. and think of dogs less fortunate than your own.
If you live local and would like to donate food to us, then please give us a call. If you don't live local then why not donate a tin to your local rescue.

VOLUNTEERS

We always need volunteers to help with fundraising. If you think you have a few hours to spare and would like to help at outdoor events, street collections or bag packing then we'd like to hear from you.

The dogs in rescue rely on volunteers to take them for a walk. If you have a few hours to spare and would love to take an unwanted dog for a walk then please contact us.
